Location and transportation
By car - parking spaces are in front and next to the house.
By bus - the nearest bus stops are "Televisiooni" (on Soinaste street) and "Tamme kool" (on Kesk kaare street). In the direction of Riia street, bus no. 8 (click on Televisiooni to view the schedule) and bus no. 11 (click on Tamme kool to view the schedule), bus no. 11 runs in the direction of the railway (click on Tamme kool to view the schedule).
Bicycle circulation - the nearest bicycle circulation parking lot is located in front of Tamme school on Kesk kaare street (ID 67, Tamme school), see bike availability.
Accessibility
A reader in a wheelchair can access the 1st floor of the library via a ramp. There is a toilet for the disabled in the library.
Tammelinna activity room
The activity room of the Tammelinna library is located on the 2nd floor.
The virtual reality set Oculus Quest, a regular sewing machine and an overlock sewing machine, a Spellbinders paper cutting machine and 3D pens are available for visitors.
The time of use is 0.5-2 hours and the use of all these machines is free for readers, you only have to pay for the consumables provided by the library.
Prior reservation is required, either on the spot or by calling 7461 036.
For youth and children
The youth room of the Tammelinna library is located on the 2nd floor.
In the youth room, it is possible to use two different game consoles for 1 hour a day. There are 28 different games in the game console Xbox One, and up to four players can play at the same time. There are 7 different games in the game selection of the game console Nintendo Switch. You can go and play if you present your reader card or student card.
Various board games can be borrowed or played on site. Board games can be borrowed for 7 days. The loan period of games cannot be renewed. Board games must be returned to the same department from which they were borrowed.
The children's room of Tammelinna library is located on the 1st floor. You can play and read books there. We also offer a children's room as a meeting place for mothers staying at home with children.
Reading dog Yato is waiting for these children to practice reading with him, who want to achieve fluent reading skills and increase courage and motivation. He is calm and friendly animal who is happy to listen to books being read to him. Yato is a golden retriever and he has been visiting the Tammelinna library since January 2018.

All parents who have a child born in 2022 and in 2023 can request the gift book „Little Tree“ . The gift book, made on the order of the Ministry of Culture, can be picked up from the 1st floor of the Tammelinna library. Please take the child's identity document with you.
Excursions and trainings
Tammelinna branch library offers tours, individual and group trainings for readers, teachers, high school and elementary school classes and kindergarten groups. Prior agreement required.
At pre-registration, the content of the training or excursion, the desired result and the time of the event are specified.
