Using the Internet


In the lobby of the main building and on the 1st floor of the Annelinna branch, there are e-mail computers for use while standing in case of urgent need.


Library visitors can use computers on the 1st floor in newspapers reading room and on the 3rd floor in the Non-Fiction reading room. 

Computer classes are available in Annelinna, Tammelinna and Karlova-Ropka branches.


Library readers present an ID card or a reader's card when visiting the Internet class. Other visitors are served upon presentation of an identity document.

All reader computers in the library are equipped with an ID card and a memory card reader that supports the most popular memory cards (CF, SD/MMC, MS/Pro/Duo, xD).


All computers can open and process the most popular file formats (Word, Excel, LibreOffice, PDF, audio, video and graphic formats).


It is possible to print and scan in color in the Annelinna, Tammelinna and Karlova-Ropka branch libraries, as well as in the non-fiction department on the 3rd floor and the Children's department in the main building. Readers can scan 35mm film (negative and slide) with the Reflecta RPS 10M scanner and medium format film with the Epson Perfection V750 Pro scanner in the Activity room of the non-fiction department oon the 3rd floor of the main building.


High-speed Wi-Fi internet connection can be used in the main building and branch libraries. The SSID of the public network of the city library is LUTS-Public.
